Mr. McKeon brings to pmpm® Consulting Group, Inc. more than twenty years of experience and leadership in the business of physician practice management, encompassing both large single and multi-specialty medical groups and private practice IPAs. His special expertise lies in operations and managed care contract assessments, staffing analysis, compensation plan development, management of interactions and effective communications between MSO/IPA leadership and staff, and provision of interim on-site management.

He has an extensive background in the supervision of business office and human resource functions including managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and financial reporting, developing proper staffing patterns and job descriptions, maintaining control over payroll processes, recordkeeping, and regulatory compliance. He has hands-on experience with the resolution of issues related to credentialing, membership, eligibility, referral, contracting, and reimbursement, as well as developing individual and group performance goals.

Before joining pmpm®, Mr. McKeon managed a twenty-two-physician primary care practice with 100 employees and five clinical locations. In addition to managing the business and human resource functions, he evaluated managed care contracts, prepared annual budgets and monthly physician productivity reports, and analyzed changing industry trends to predict and measure the impact on the group. Prior to that, he managed three distinct areas within a private practice IPA model comprised of 200 primary care and 500 specialty physicians. His responsibilities included directing all physician relations activities between the MSO and its members, overseeing the activities of the customer services department for a network of 145,000 managed care patients, and managing the marketing activities including identifying market potential, determining media strategy, and identifying media opportunities for physicians. His practice management experience encompasses the specialties of Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Radiation Oncology, and Radiology.

Mr. McKeon received his under-graduate degree and a Master of Health Administration from Ione College, New Rochelle, New York.. He is a member of the National Medical Group Management Association and a Certified Medical Practice Executive.
