Mr. Reuter comes to pmpm® Consulting Group Inc. with fifteen years of experience in health care data research, analysis, and financial plan development, primarily in the acute care field. His expertise includes cost and utilization analysis, operational and financial projection modeling, as well as development of pro forma to support new business endeavors.

Mr. Reuter’s areas of focus with pmpm® have included development of the pro forma to support an application filing for licensure under Knox-Keene legislation, for restructuring
hospital-owned physician practices, and for determining the feasibility of a statewide HMO to serve rural communities. He has also developed and analyzed patterns of out-migration of services for purposes of strategic planning, and analysis of cost and utilization data for reconciliation of risk-pool year-end settlement allocations. He has done extensive modeling of physician productivity in relationship to benchmarks for purposes of developing compensation plans, and has performed the financial analysis necessary to value a physician practice for acquisition.

As Planning Analyst/System Support for Sutter Health/Roseville Hospital, Mr. Reuter was responsible for business plan and financial pro forma development to establish the feasibility of new programs and the expansion/consolidation of existing services. These activities included production of the needs assessment and feasibility study for the development of an open heart surgery program and an occupational health program. He developed an automated model for provideployment of physicians to secure market share for the System. Mr. Reuter also developed hospital staffing and budgeting tools based on fluctuating patient census patterns, thus improving the accuracy of critical financial projections. He also produced comprehensive hospital environmental assessment profiles including market share, patient migration, payor mix, service line performance, and competitor analysis.
