Senior Consultant

Ms. Colavecchio is an experienced managed care professional with expertise in operational assessment, medical management program development, quality management, staff development, operations management and consulting relationships. In the recent past she was employed as Practice Administrator for a multi-specialty practice including multiple clinics and an Adult Day Health Care Center. She managed the day-to-day operations including medical management, contracting, credentialing, physician recruitment, staff education and developed policies and procedures assuring organizational compliance with HMO and regulatory agencies.

As an independent consultant and a senior consultant with a national consulting firm, Ms. Colavecchio conducted operational assessments of managed care activities and participated in restructuring of clinical operations for several medical groups including recommendation for provider compensation strategies, performance enhancement strategies, and strategies to integrate hospital and ambulatory care clinical programs for a large integrated hospital system.

Ms. Colavecchio served as Regional Director Patient Care Management for a large hospital system with corporate headquarters in Sacramento Ca. contributing to clinical protocol development, development of a continuum of care including the design and implementation of the Geriatric Care Coordination Program. Ms. Colavecchio has held several senior management positions in hospitals including VP Clinical and Resource Management, VP for Nursing Services and Associate Director of Clinical Practice in a University hospital where she also held a faculty position in the School of Nursing.

Ms. Colavecchio received her BS degree from Boston College, her MS degree from Boston University and completed all course requirements for an Ed D from the University of San Francisco. She holds a current nursing license in the State of California has served on a variety of professional Boards, mentored graduate students, and is published in nursing journals. She is a contributing author, “Claims Operations Manual” published by the National IPA Coalition.
